Reflecting on an Unbelievable Moment – Winning ‘Best Global Entrepreneur
I still can’t quite believe it.
Looking back, it feels surreal to say that I was awarded ‘Best Global Entrepreneur’. At the time, it
was a whirlwind of emotions – excitement, disbelief, and overwhelming gratitude. But more than
anything, I knew this wasn’t just about me.
This was for Mums in Marketing. For every single one of you who has been part of this incredible
journey. This award belongs to you as much as it does to me.
The Moment That Changed Everything
Mums in Marketing was born in the Midlands, four and a half years ago.
I was 46. A mother to a young son and an eight-year-old daughter. I had just lost my job and found
myself sitting on my bed, crying-feeling completely alone. But in that moment, something shifted. I promised myself that no other MiM would ever feel that
way.
What I didn’t fully realise back then was how much work lay ahead. How many long nights, moments
of self-doubt, and big decisions would come. But what I also never could have predicted was just
how inspiring this community would become.
MiMs are connected, not just by our roles in marketing but by something deeper. By our shared
experiences as mothers, by our determination to support each other, even if we’ve never met in
person.
From an Idea to a Thriving Movement
Fast forward to today, and Mums in Marketing has grown beyond anything I could have imagined.

✅ A successful membership, business, and brand.
✅ A space where women in marketing can train together, collaborate, and be truly seen.
This has never just been about work. It’s about connection beyond work and parenting, about
creating a better landscape for our children.

Winning ‘Best Global Entrepreneur’ was a moment I’ll never forget. But it wasn’t just about a trophy
or a title-it was recognition that big visions matter.
That when the right people come together, when we lift each other up, when we refuse to accept
feeling isolated or unseen, we create something powerful.
